How to Attract Advertisers to Your Website

Attracting advertisers is a crucial step in the survival of a website if you are depending on the funds to keep your site up and running. When it comes to the World Wide Web advertising is an almost unlimited resource when it comes to the amount of views one advertisement can receive. It is because of this that companies are looking to the web in order to increase the popularity of their products or services. When starting up your own website their are several steps you can take in order to increase your potential to attract advertisers and at the same time help promote your own site.

1. Market Your Website. Before anything you need to make people aware of your website. It would be quite difficult to sell companies to advertise on your site if no one is aware of your site in the first place. In order to do this you must promote your site to the Web and its audience. Once this is done companies will be more willing to advertise on your site since your site already has a steady inbound traffic of viewers.

2. Sign up with an Affiliate Program. Affiliate programs are the easiest way to attract advertisers to your website and at the same time make a little money. These programs allow you to get paid by referring customers to another site that offers services or products. These affiliate programs are perfect for small websites or Blogs that have just started up and want to get their name out there. Once you have these ads placed on your site it will attract other Advertisers because they will know you are willing to advertise on your site.

3. Offer Advertising Space. Another good way to attract advertisers is to have a spot on your website that shows visitors you are excepting advertisements. This is usually done by placing an “Advertise Here” banner or image on some of your pages to your website. Be careful though because you don’t want to overdo it by placing them all over each page to where it renders the appearance or content of that page. One per page is plenty to let them know you are willing to accept advertising on your site.

4. It does not hurt to ask. If your website is new to the internet it would not hurt to email companies that you think may benefit from advertising on your website. If anything it will help get your websites name out there to the public and attract new visitors. If you do this make sure you let them know in the email what your site is about and how their business can profit from advertising on your website. Be sure to also give them a link to your main page so they can view your site and see it for themselves.

Tips

Be prepared. If you are trying to attract advertisers you need to be prepared and look professional. Go ahead and have the information needed for companies to advertise with you. An example of this may be advertising prices and spaces available for your website, and the payment type and process you prefer for advertisements n your site.

Do your research. It is up to you to decide who advertises on your website. If you want to have an honest and helpful reputation amongst your visitors and other websites, you need to make sure the advertisers’ you are doing business with have the same morals and values as you. Putting other companies advertisements on your site is the same as recommending that company so know their information before you commit.

Driving Free Traffic to Your Website and Blog

So, I had my blog set up, but if you’re like me-when you start out you don’t have any traffic to your blog. What do you do? Well, I’ll show you what I did – you start writing on your blog and spreading the word to everyone else about your blog to come check it out.

I started tweaking my WordPress layout, adding a few pages about me with my pictures-and I just started writing about me and my experiences online.

I started linking to other websites and blogs that I liked. I added links to the free resources and tools that I had found.

Then I used the “Rig Hopping” technique that Alex Jeffreys had taught me, and I started going to other people’s blogs and commenting on their posts.

I joined in the discussion with what was going on with Internet Marketing-the launches, the new products, the new techniques, the new ideas-what was working and what wasn’t.

I was commenting, and every time I commented, I left my name along with a link back to my blog. So that way, if people liked what I was commenting, they would come back to my blog, click on my links, and especially click on my links to buy my products.

With the Web 2.0 and social networking, there are a TON of places online where you can go to share your links with other people and tell the world about your website!

I started going out and joining the discussion, not spamming – actually engaging with other people.

I joined forum-you can Google a list of different market-specific forums. I was meeting people and learning tips and tricks from other people in the forums.

I was giving my advice to other people too-going out to help other people first, showing them what I had learned-what worked for me and what didn’t work for me.

And again, every time I commented, I left my link back to my website so that if people liked what I was writing, they would come back and check out what I had to offer.

These are the small things that you can do right now to start building momentum in your online business. Always remember to add value, give your knowledge and expertise away through your blog, free videos, even answering personal e-mail will go a long way to help people out around you. You are engaging with the market and getting to know your market better, and you are becoming a part of the conversation online.

What Is eMarketing For Websites?

Some people are puzzled about online marketing and I don’t blame them. Even as you are reading this article, there is already some new gadget, a new tool, a new way to do emarketing for websites. It IS hard to catch up with the ever-evolving online world.

For newbies, here are few things to get you started with your emarketing efforts.

If you already have a website and blog, good. While the website can remain safely the same most the time (some updates is highly recommended to reflect the changes in your company), you need someone to write up some stuff for your blog. This is part and parcel of your emarketing for website tactic.

The next step you will need to take, if you don’t already have one, is to set up a Facebook page for your company. On this Facebook page, you update and share experiences, tips, advice, news and also press releases relating to your company, products or services. To get people to engage with your postings, cross market the page with twitter, email and your website/blog.

Cross marketing is something that most people don’t include in whenever doing emarketing for their websites. All these accounts are not separate, you need to promote them together.

Even for an emarketing for website promotional strategy, please do not leave out offline marketing. You see, with online marketing, you are targeting people at large, people you don’t know, have never seen before but is a potential customer (or competitor).

With offline marketing, you are promoting the website or blog to the people you actually see and KNOW for a fact that they are human beings who are capable of making decisions.

Another tactic you might want to include in your emarketing for website strategy is article marketing. Article marketing leverages on the popularity of other websites or blogs and brings them to YOUR website or blog. Another cross promotion, as you can very well see.

Emarketing is not difficult. All you need is a team of people with clear heads and directions who can come up with an incredible plan to bring your company’s website or blog to the next level…and then onto the next.

Good luck!
