5 Incredibly Important Website Traffic Tips
When it comes to the all-important issue of SEO and how to increase website traffic, you really do need an all-around approach. You must have a strategy and your SEO strategy must address from every angle possible, the issue of the things you must do to generate website traffic.
Keyword Research
Keyword research entails studying your product/service, your visitors and the popular search terms used to find the things you offer. Then using that information to select the best possible keywords for what you offer. Keyword research should ideally affect every aspect of your web site as well as how it is developed and promoted for more internet traffic. Even the domain name should be keyword-rich. The reason that keywords are so important is because these are the words that connect you with people searching for the products or services that your web site offers; they increase your website traffic. Imagine how ineffective it would be if the majority of your potential visitors use an informal name for your product while your web site uses only the formal name for the product. You and your customers would in essence be like two ships passing in the night; you would never connect with each other and you would never increase traffic to your website.
Internal SEO
Internal SEO describes every aspect of developing and adjusting your web site to make it optimal for success on the Internet and to drive website traffic. Contrary to what many believe, the foundations of your success on the search engines and in promoting your web site and in more website traffic are laid within your actual web site. A finely tuned web site has the best chances of search engine and Internet promotion success. This principle is true even down to the actual domain name for a web site. When a domain name contains effective keywords, it will always be one of the first sites listed on results pages. Other things that fall within the realm of internal SEO and that increase internet traffic are:
* Keyword-rich domain names
* Keyword-rich meta tags
* Keyword-rich page titles
* Keyword-rich page names
* Keyword rich content
External SEO
External SEO describes the activities that take place outside of your web site in order to gain optimal results in promoting your web site, improving your website traffic and finding success on the search engines. Theoretically, you should have and need to have your web site listed on the major search engines if you want the large volumes of traffic that bring profit. Currently the most important search engines are Google, Yahoo and Bing (formerly MSN). If you manage to get your web site listed in the first few pages of results on any one of these search engines, it will often be the beginning of receiving significantly increased traffic. Several things fall under the category of external SEO and that bring traffic to your website:
* Search engine submission
* Keyword research
* Link-Ins (links to content and pages on your web site)
* Articles on article repository web sites
* Social networking
* Affiliate marketing
* Social networking
Social Networking
Social networking has become so important in the promotion of web sites and in gaining targeted internet traffic that it deserves a category of its own. The amount of free website traffic that you can get from a successful social networking campaign can be potentially explosive! Social networking in itself implies exponential growth with a single friend passing contacts and recommendations on to every friend they know, and those that respond doing the same. In an ideal situation, you want a response to your campaign that takes on a life of its own and gains an unstoppable momentum. Facebook and Twitter are the two most important social networking web sites in existence. These are the places that I recommend you begin your quest for social networking success and targeted website traffic.

5 Ways on How to Get No Cost Website Traffic
If you are an owner of a website then you know you have to attract visitors, get notice and increase your traffic to your website. Most likely you will not have a large budget for your website advertising and really don’t know which road to go down to get low or no cost attention to your site.
Her are 5 tips that will help your website attract traffic without spending any money!
Tip #1 Submit to Directories
Submitting your website to directories is in most part free and all you have to do is provide your website’s URL, a simple brief description, and then your site will be listed in the directory for visitors to browse.
Also when you have your website in these directories people will able to browse and find your listings, another thing that happens is your site will have one way links pointing back to it and this will help your rankings in the search engines.
Tip #2 Submit to Search Engines
Also known as SEO search engine optimization. It’s important to get free organic traffic and they are certain things to do. They are on page and off page building for your sites. Just a quick tip for you’re on page optimization is make sure your title has your main keywords in it. Off page is building one-way links like we talked about in the fist tip.
Then, when people search for a specific keyword they just might find your site and visit.
Tip #3 Reciprocal Links
Reciprocal linking is a great idea if you want to also increase your search engine rankings.
Simply trade links with other websites and you host their link on your site and they host your link on their site. It does not take much effort or time and once you have the links you will in the end have free advertising.
Tip #4 Include Your Website URL Everywhere
Your website url also known as your address needs to be placed everywhere you can think of online and offline. For example your business cards, your email signature, on the end of your articles you submit online, forum signatures and many other areas. Now when you post your url address everywhere this will help increase your site’s traffic.
Tip #5 Email List
You may have heard this a thousand times “The Money is In The List” Well it’s true building a list to advertise too can create exposure and good income for you. One solid tip is you have to build trust first before promoting your list.
It usually takes seven emails before they may want to purchase your product. Also make sure it easy for them to unsubscribe. There is a link on the bottom of all emails usually for this.
With hard work and effort on your part you will have more website traffic coming your way and those visitors will also recommend others to your site. Having a website online is all about getting more website traffic this is the name of the game. Good Luck!

Website Promotion SEO Step 3: Off Page Optimization
G’day Everyone,
Geoff again with Step 3 (and most important) step of getting your website promotion efforts coordinated and working together to get your site traffic from the search engines. This is off-page optimization which means creating one way links back to your website from a variety of different websites. There are many ways you can achieve this, if you have money you can speed up the process but if not it is just time and consistency with a plan. Some places you can build these links from are:
- Forum posts, responding with intelligent, helpful comments, answers, questions and having a link to your website in your signature.
- Blog comments (similar to above)
- Directory submissions
- Yahoo Answers
- Social Bookmarking eg Digg, Stumbleupon
- Article marketing
This is a sample of possibilities and you should plan it out and try to do something each day but remember the first step use your keywords to link back to your website. Don’t just post things like “great stuff”, make your contribution add something to the forum or blog. This link building is the biggest piece of the puzzle and takes time, patience, a plan and discipline. Set up a schedule that suits your lifestyle and stick to it, keep building links up and if you have done the first 2 steps correctly you will start moving up the search engine results relatively quickly. Your website promotion has been carefully planned and executed professionally and your website will be getting free traffic from the search engines. You then have to make sure your website converts tht traffic into sales or subscribers, that is a whole different kettle of fish.
Next I will go into more detail about this link building step without giving you a headache hopefully

Bye for now,
Geoff
